Bangor World Wide Missionary Convention 2014

The committee for the annual Missionary Convention are delighted to announce that the programme for 2014 has been finalised. “With around 30 events planned over 9 days, it is one of our most ambitious programmes to date.


Thabiti Anyabwile, presently Senior Pastor at First Baptist Church Grand Cayman, will be leading our Bible Readings and we have a range of speakers from around the world coming to contribute at other meetings throughout the week. These include Mihai Malancea fromMoldova, Summa Emmanuel from India and Bikash Adhikari from Nepal.

In addition, we will be hearing about the situation in N. Korea from Rev, Eric Foley, an author and leading expert on that country, and also about what is going on in the Middle East through the work of MECO and Sat7. Africa is not overlooked with Bishop Elias Taban coming from South Sudan to talk about the work there.

Alistair Hamill from Glenabbey Church and his team will lead our praise at the evening meetings for the first part of the week. Members of the New Irish Orchestra will be leading our praise for the final three evenings under the direction of Artistic Director, Jonathan Rea.
